Predator Dynamic Mosquito & Midge Trap

How it works.
The Predator Dynamic mimics a perspiring person and
uses a total of 6 methods to attract female mosquitoes
and midges:
 
•  Breath (CO2: moist and heat)
•  Heat (body skin temperature)
•  Sweat (rapid action attractant)
•  Movement (blinking LED light)
•  Water trap (wet tray in collector)
•  Light (attracts 360 degrees using UV-LED lights)
 
Once attracted, the unit catches the mosquitoes in
two ways:
 
•  Strong vacuum fan that sucks the insects in and
dehydrates them to die
•  Rapid action sticky paper: powerful glue trap with
contrast pattern
 
The unit is adjustable in height and this function helps
with targeting mosquitoes or midges (full and detailed
instructions for use come with the product).

Dr Alison Blackwell of Edinburgh University has
carried out detailed scientific testing on the Predator
Dynamic and these are some of the things she had
to say about it…  
“Trials were carried out to assess the efficacy of the
Amplecta Predator Dynamic Mosquito and Midge Trap
in managing Culicoides spp. biting midges in Scotland
(specifically, Culicoides impunctatus, the dominant
biting species of the Highland and West-Coast areas
of Scotland).”
 
“This short study has indicated that the Predator traps
performed well in trapping Culicoides biting midges in
