Cheetah Sentinel Speed Trap Detector

The Sentinel is a two piece, remote-mounted, wireless radar detector system designed specifically for the UK and Ireland. You fit the actual detector head behind your radiator grille and it has a clever little power supply unit that you can safely attach to the car battery. This makes it very easy to fit, even if you are a complete novice when it comes to car electrics. The detector head then works wirelessly with the in-car warning unit, which you can keep anywhere you like in the car.

The Sentinel has been supertuned for the optimum K Band performance, making it the best performing detector in the world for countries where the radar cameras use K Band radar (UK, Ireland, Greece, France, Morocco) Please note that the Sentinel does not detect KA band so it is not suitable for use in most of continental Europe or the USA.

Radar and laser detection provides better protection against mobile speed traps than any GPS system warning of common mobile sites so its use could be banned in 2007. If that does happen then it makes sense to fit the invisible Sentinel system so that nobody even knows you have it on your car anyway. There is also the added advantage of no subscription charges or hassle with internet downloads. Because it detects live camera signals it also tells you if the GATSO is live or or just an empty dummy camera. There is no more discreet solution for a car or more effective solution for a motorcycle.

The Sentinel's waterproof detector head can easily be concealed in discreet location at the front of your vehicle: behind your radiator grille, under your bumper or in an air scoop. There are usually a number of places it can go.

Once fitted, there is nothing noticeable to attract the attention of passers-by or opportunistic thieves and the tiny AUDIOnode in-car warning unit can be positioned anywhere you like in the car. It does not have to sit on top of your dashboard.

When you are using it on a bike, for audio alerts simply connect any headphones of your choice, or link it to your comms system. There is an optional battery pack for riders, so you can even keep the warning module in your pocket!

Speed trap alerts are transmitted wirelessly from the radiator grille to inside the car so you don't have to run any awkward cables from then engine or drill any holes! This makes the Sentinel much easier to install compared to any other remote system.

In the stand-alone, full radar detector system, alerts are provided through the AUDIOnode in-car warning unit.

If you purchase the "Detector head only" option you can receive its K band radar alerts on the GPSmirror or the Vizalert helmet system instead. The "Detector head only" comes complete with mounting brackets and the POWERSENSEnode automatic power supply for easy remote fitting with no hardwiring hassles.

You can even buy an extra Sentinel Detector to fit invisibly to your car and the one warning unit can be used with both remote detector heads, meaning you also have in-car protection without having to buy two full Sentinel systems.
